All Day We Dream About FOOD

Following the success of the Monday Meat Draw last summer, we are pleased to introduce this year’s Fabulous Friday Food Draw which will be starting on Friday 9th July and running for 10 weeks.

Each week we have a fantastic offering from very generous companies and individuals supporting our foody fundraiser.

Buy your Food Draw tickets @ £10 per week to be entered into selected weeks or buy a Fabulous Friday Draw ticket for £80 and you will be entered into all 10 draws.


WEEK 1: SOMETHING A BIT SHEEPISH – half a butchered lamb  – kindly donated by Matthew Wickens.  I don’t think any further introduction is needed!


WEEK 2: TAKE AWAY ON THE ORIENTAL EXPRESS - kindly donated by The Oriental Club.

For nearly two hundred years, the Oriental Club has been an iconic Central London focal point for those who have lived, worked or travelled in the East. Today, a diverse membership values the modern amenities of Stratford House and the attentive service offered by the Club’s Staff.  The Oriental Club Express is a Nationwide premium meal delivery service offering 4 food ranges from The Curry Express to The Deluxe Collection.  www.orientalclubexpress.com


WEEK 3: RASPERRY TIPPLE - A Tray of Fresh Raspberries and a bottle of homemade Raspberry Gin– kindly donated by Julia Cannon, Roughway Farm, Tonbridge.

Roughway Farm is run by the Cannon family.  The farm now grows Raspberries, Apples, Plums, Cherries, Greengages and Kent Cobnuts. Whilst not a ’pick your own’ venture, there is a comprehensive online shop which delivers directly to your door and can be found at www.roughwayfarm.co.uk/shop

Also, of significant interest is Roughway Arena Hire – a 60 x 30m arena with combi-ride all weather surface which is available to hire for clinics and private individuals/groups. The arena is in a quiet area sheltered by some hedges, away from the public eye and the road. There is a large hard standing car park. Jumps are available for use by the hirer. There is a full set of dressage markers around the arena. There is a busy calendar of varied clinics which can be found on the Roughway Arena Hire Facebook page.  www.roughwayarenahire.co.uk


WEEK 4: BBQ BOX for 6 – kindly donated by HW Coldbreath. 

HW Coldbreath are a family butcher, poulterer and licensed game dealer based in Seal, Nr Sevenoaks. They specialise in the finest locally sourced produce, home butchered lamb and have their own herd of award winning cattle from their Aberdeen Angus bull. We also know from experience they make the best sausage rolls and cheese straws which have been regularly sampled at hunt meets and teas over the past 4 years. www.hwcoldbreath.co.uk

WEEK 5: BOOZY BASKET containing ‘Family of Hounds’ Nero Pepper London Dry Gin and a Selection of Sparkling Wine – kindly donated by Kingscote Estate and Vineyard.

Kingscote Estate has an award winning English vineyard in Vowels Lane, East Grinstead. They are open 7 days a week from 10am – 5pm where you can spend an afternoon soaking up the sun in their wine garden, strolling through the picturesque estate and visiting the wine shop and café.  www.kingscoteestate.com


WEEK 6: PCINIC FOR 6   -  kindly donated by The Masters (led by Helen Sarchet!). A delicious picnic lovingly prepared by our lady Masters, to include savouries, sweet treats and needless to say some alcoholic beverages! Vegans need not apply!


WEEK 7: BEER AND CIDER -  5 litres of Larkins Traditional Ale and a mixed case (12 x 500ml) of Turners Cider  – kindly donated by Larkins Brewery and Turners Cider.

Larkins Brewery is based in Chiddingstone near Edenbridge in Kent and produces award winning traditional Kentish real ales. Founded in 1986 by Bob Dockerty a commercial hop grower and a keen home brewer at the time as well as a great supporter of our hunt.  The product range comprises three standard and two seasonal beers, made using only hops grown on Larkins Farm. Larkins deliver to around 40-50 local pubs and restaurants, as well as supplying private customers for parties, weddings and local events. www.larkinsbrewery.co.uk


Turners Cider is a family business based in the village of Marden, in the Weald of Kent. They make a range of craft ciders in the ‘Eastern counties’ style; that is, from only eating and cooking apples. They select each type of apple for its flavour using traditional varieties such as Cox, Worcester, Bramley and Russet.  The result is a range of clean, light, refreshing ciders perfect for summer drinking, thirst quenching, as an aperitif and with many types of food. They have an online shop with free local delivery within 15 miles of Marden. www.turnerscider.co.uk



WEEK 8: FESTIVE CHEER – A homemade 6 inch Christmas Cake and Christmas Pudding, accompanied by some Cheerful Christmas Bubbles. Kindly donated by Annabel Seegar.



WEEK 9: HOME DELIVERED DINNER FOR 6  - kindly donated by The Masters (led by Jackie Stribling). A delicious 3 course meal with a pre-dinner aperitif and wine delivered to your door.  Menu and date to be agreed according to dietary requirements. 



WEEK 10: SURF ‘N’ TURF - £100 voucher to spend at Chart Farm, Seal Chart, Sevenoaks.


The shop opened at Chart Farm in 2009, selling succulent home-reared venison along with other top-quality meats, locally sourced and hand-picked for their quality.  Since lockdown 2020 the shop has expanded its range and now stocks a wide variety of fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy, bread, wine and provisions. On a Friday and Saturday morning the Fish and Seafood shop is also open stocking fresh fish, shellfish and seafood straight from UK fishing boats. Chart Farm is also a stockist for the Big Green Egg BBQ and pre-COVID ran regular cookery classes and demonstrations to increase your culinary eggperience!  www.chartfarm.com
